Some thought exercises courtesy of a sister-in-Christ (JML):

1. Who belongs? Who determines these designations?
2. What are the taxes and levies we impose on others -- particularly the marginalized, newcomers and 'outsiders' -- to access their belonging in the spaces we control?
3. How do we, who seek to be transformed by Jesus' Good News and incarnational example, practice hospitality in the vein of 'come as you are' vs. 'come as we asked or demand that you come'?
